Ramsey Nouah Reveals Why He Stays Away From the Spotlight

Veteran Nollywood actor Ramsey Nouah has opened up about his preference for staying away from the spotlight despite his long-standing success in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The actor, who has remained a prominent figure in Nollywood for more than two decades, explained that he is more comfortable maintaining a private life and allowing his work to speak for him.

Nouah made this known during an interview with TVC Entertainment, where he discussed his decision to maintain a low profile and focus primarily on his acting career.

According to the actor, working quietly in the background gives him greater comfort and allows him to concentrate better on his craft.

Nouah also distinguished between promoting his professional projects and seeking personal attention. He explained that whenever he has a new movie or role to promote, he is willing to speak publicly about the production and the character he portrays.

Speaking about his preference for privacy, Nouah explained that he feels more comfortable operating away from the centre of public attention.

He noted that his appearance on the programme was specifically to discuss his role as Tornado rather than to promote himself personally.

The actor’s comments offer insight into his approach to fame and his decision to maintain a clear boundary between his professional career and private life.

BBNaija S11: Kievo and Tram Clash in Big Brother House

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates Kievo and Tram were involved in a heated confrontation on Monday evening following a disagreement over a missing shirt.

The incident occurred less than a week before the reality show’s grand finale, adding tension among the remaining housemates.

The confrontation escalated when Kievo shoved Tram as Sheba and other housemates intervened to separate the pair.

Tram later explained that he had brought 10 Henley shirts into the Big Brother house, while Kievo maintained that the shirt in question belonged to him.

Kievo said he had purchased the shirt along with his other clothes and headgear before entering the reality show.

Speaking after the confrontation, Kievo said he would not mind being evicted if that would prove his innocence. He stressed that his reaction was not motivated by ego.

The housemate also expressed the seriousness of being accused of theft, saying he viewed being called a thief as comparable to being labelled a rapist.

The incident has added another dramatic moment to the final stage of the competition.

Music executive Ubi Franklin said the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show no longer commands public conversation as it once did.

He noted that beyond sustaining success, it needs reinvention to stay relevant.

“Big Brother Naija reminds me of a massive artist who is still successful, still performing and still has fans, but no longer commands the conversation like before.

“That’s where Big Brother is today. It’s still a big brand, but the cultural relevance isn’t what it used to be.

“Sometimes being successful isn’t enough—you have to go back to the drawing board, re-strategise, reposition and find a way to become relevant again,” he wrote.

His remarks come amid mixed reactions to the early weeks of the ongoing Season 11 ‘Show Ya Sef’ edition, which some viewers described as slow and boring.
