Omotola had previously disclosed that she would donate 10 per cent of the proceeds from the movie project to an NGO.

Reflecting on her philanthropic efforts, she recalled her decision to donate the producers’ earnings from Mother’s Love: The Movie towards the education of children from underserved communities, including Makoko, which featured as one of the movie’s locations.

According to the actress, she did not initially realise how widely the gesture would resonate with audiences.

She said the decision had continued to inspire her.

Omotola also described the latest honours as a joint first recognition from Israel Tribune and 90210 Enterprise.

The actress said she remained grateful for the opportunity to combine her passion for entertainment with efforts to give back to society.
