Omotunde Ogundimu Thanks Funke Akindele For Supporting Her Cancer Treatment

Veteran actress Omotunde Ogundimu has thanked Nollywood star Funke Akindele for the financial support she received while battling cervical cancer.

In a heartfelt post on her social media page on Thursday, Omotunde said she was brought to tears when she received a surprise call and financial assistance from the filmmaker.

The actress found Akindele’s gesture very touching and appreciated and commended her for her kindness and support during a difficult time.

The unexpected intervention meant a lot to her as she continues to navigate her cancer treatment, she said.

“The first call I got this morning was from Funke. I was really surprised because I didn’t expect it. Chai! God is just too good to me,” she penned.

“Pls pray for Funke Akindele for blessing me this morning toward my cancer treatment… She gave me a huge amount of money ni. “Laila, God will never leave you Iya Ibeji. You will grow from strength to strength forever,” she added.

In July, Omotunde opened up about her health challenges in an emotional interview with colleague Biola Bayo.

During the interview, she passionately appealed to Nigerians for support and disclosed that she has been fighting cervical cancer since 2024 and the pain has gotten severe. NigeriaNews Subscription
