Aaron Rodgers Claims Shailene Woodley Wanted Another Man After Accepting His Proposal

NFL star Aaron Rodgers says actress Shailene Woodley told him she wanted to be with another man just days after accepting his marriage proposal.

Rodgers made the claim in an appearance on Cam Heyward’s Not Just Football podcast on Thursday, September 10, where he was discussing his failed engagement to the actress.

Rodgers said that Woodley accepted his proposal but later told him she wanted to be with another man before they got married.

I dated Shailene, I asked, she said yes. She could have said no, she could have felt forced into making a decision. “But like a couple days after that she told me, before we got married, ‘I got to go fuck this guy,’” he said.

By March, Woodley took off her engagement ring, and later they tried to reconcile several times, Rodgers said.

He also denied the story about being responsible for Woodley’s alleged depression after the breakup.

“It’s like, I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her, but really she told me that and took the ring off by March,” Rodgers said.

The NFL star explained his decision to go public about the relationship, saying some accounts of what happened were false.

“There’s just a lot of narratives out there that are just not true and they portray things a certain way because they can get away with it,” he said.

Rodgers also took a dig at his ex-girlfriends on the podcast saying, “The height of their fame was when they were with me.”
