‘I’m Not a Gigolo’ – Sheggz Says He and Bella Split Their Bills

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Sheggz Olusemo has denied claims that he relied financially on his former girlfriend, Bella Okagbue, while they were together.

Sheggz addressed the controversy during a recent interview, explaining that allegations that he collected money from Bella became widespread after their relationship ended without culminating in marriage.

According to the reality star, the claims do not accurately represent how finances were handled during their relationship. He insisted that he contributed substantially to their shared expenses and was not dependent on Bella for financial support.

Sheggz also rejected the description of him as a “gigolo”, stressing that he and Bella had an arrangement in which both parties contributed to their expenses.

“I’m not a gigolo. Bella and I split the bills 70-30, and I did the most,” he said.

The former BBNaija star maintained that the public narrative surrounding their finances was unfair and did not reflect the reality of their relationship.

He suggested that the claims gained traction largely because the relationship ended without resulting in marriage, which led some people to revisit and question how the couple managed their finances while they were together.

Sheggz and Bella, who met through the Big Brother Naija platform, became one of the reality show’s most talked-about couples.

Their relationship attracted significant public attention during and after their time on the show. However, the pair eventually went their separate ways.

Sheggz’s latest comments appear aimed at correcting what he described as misconceptions about their financial arrangement and his role in the relationship.
