Annie Idibia Debunks Reunion Rumours With Ex-Husband 2Baba

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed widespread speculation suggesting she has reconciled with her former husband, Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba.

The rumours gained traction on social media after an old video resurfaced showing the former couple enjoying themselves together at a nightclub. The clip, which many users mistakenly believed was recent, sparked claims that Annie and 2Baba had rekindled their relationship.

Some social media users went even further, alleging that the pair were expecting a third child together, despite having publicly ended their marriage earlier this year.

Reacting to the growing speculation, Annie took to her Instagram Story to set the record straight. She clarified that the videos making the rounds online were outdated and condemned the spread of false information about her personal life.

“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote, dismissing the reports without further comment.

Annie and 2Baba, who share two daughters, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after spending more than a decade together. Their separation attracted widespread public attention, bringing an end to one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity unions.

Following the divorce, 2Baba moved on and subsequently married Edo State politician Natasha Osaworu, ending any speculation about a possible reconciliation with his former wife.

Meanwhile, Annie recently found herself at the centre of another social media conversation after she was criticised for a comment she posted on an announcement celebrating the birth of a child to celebrity fashion designer Luminee and actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha.

Despite the criticism and recurring online speculation surrounding her personal life, the actress has continued to maintain a low profile, choosing to address only misinformation that she considers necessary. Her latest statement makes it clear that reports of a reunion with 2Baba, as well as claims that they are expecting another child together, are entirely false.
