“I was sick like someone who had malaria. Malaria/typhoid, that was it, and that was how it started gradually. From one Hospital to another. I can’t remember how long it lasted. I think it lasted for months because I was in a coma and was given a 50/50 chance. My mum was even told to go home”, she recalled.
Sindodo said the experience was traumatic, but credited her recovery to faith and prayers.
While speaking on her trials, she held back tears as she reflected on God’s faithfulness.
“God answered a lot of prayers in my life. God has been faithful because I don’t want to be emotional,” she said.
The actress did not disclose further details about the diagnosis, but said the ordeal taught her to appreciate life and divine intervention.
Sikiratu Sindodo is a familiar face in Yoruba cinema, known for her roles in indigenous films.
She joins a growing list of Nollywood actors who have spoken publicly in recent years about health challenges.
