Radiogad Claims Davido Unfollowed Him After Criticism of Governor Adeleke

Content creator Radiogad has alleged that Nigerian music star Davido sent him a private message requesting that he remove videos in which he criticised the singer’s uncle over the state of affairs in Nigeria.

Radiogad made the allegation in a video, where he narrated his purported interaction with the award-winning singer and insisted that he would not stop speaking about issues affecting Nigerians, irrespective of the personalities involved.

According to the content creator, he had earlier published two videos expressing dissatisfaction with the situation in the country while criticising Davido’s uncle. He claimed that the singer subsequently contacted him through direct messages on social media and asked him to take down the videos.

Radiogad said he chose not to respond to the alleged message, maintaining that his comments were motivated by his concerns about the country rather than political affiliations or personal disagreements.

“Davido quickly entered my DM. He wanted me to bring down that video, but I did not reply him. I always stand for the truth,” he said.

The content creator also claimed that he recorded the alleged exchange on his screen to preserve evidence of the communication. He explained that he wanted to prevent doubts about the authenticity of the message, particularly the possibility that people might dismiss it as content generated using artificial intelligence.

Radiogad further alleged that Davido unfollowed him on social media after he declined to respond to the singer’s purported request.

Despite the development, he maintained that his position remained unchanged, insisting that social media relationships would not determine the issues he chooses to discuss publicly.

“Whether you are following me or you are not following me, I will keep standing for the truth,” he added.

The content creator also referenced his decision to reside in the United Kingdom while questioning the state of affairs in Nigeria.

“If Nigeria good, wetin I dey do for UK? If Nigeria dey work, wetin I go do here?” he asked.

Radiogad concluded by declaring that his platform would remain open to criticism of public figures, regardless of their influence or social standing.

As of the time of this report, the claims remain allegations made by Radiogad, and the reported private exchange has not been independently verified.
