Lagos Earns Guinness World Record For Afrobeats Orchestra Performance

Guinness World Records has now confirmed a concert organised by Dapper Live & Artists in Lagos as the largest orchestra ever assembled for an Afrobeats performance.

The record was made known on X with a clip from the show featuring Fuji legends King Saheed Osupa and KS1 Malaika and some Afrobeats acts.

The post read, “Largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert – 85 musicians by Dapper Live & Artists @DapperMusicEnt_ The attempt was made in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2025 at the Balmoral Convention Centre as a live orchestral performance of an Afrobeats composition.

The concert was led by a conductor and included a lead singer, an accompanying choir, dancers and 85 musicians playing in unison. The event showed how Afrobeats and orchestral music can blend together seamlessly.”

The concert, ‘Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience’ was held on December 16, 2025.
