Meanwhile, the report also comes amid developments involving American rapper William Leonard Roberts II, popularly known as Rick Ross.
Rick Ross recently turned himself in to police in Miami Beach, Florida, following allegations that he assaulted a woman and restricted her breathing during an incident at his Star Island residence.
According to CBS News, the rapper was subsequently booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre.
The 50-year-old music executive is facing one felony charge of battery by strangulation and one misdemeanour battery charge.
The allegations concern an incident reportedly involving a woman with whom Ross had been in a relationship for about a year.
According to a police affidavit, the alleged incident occurred on August 28 but was reported to authorities on September 29.
The woman reportedly told investigators that Ross woke her at about 7:44 a.m. after becoming upset about her being tagged in an Instagram photograph.
