Kay Wonder Postpones Invasion Praise Concert Following Toluwanisings’ Death

Gospel singer Kay Wonder and the organisers of Invasion Praise Concert have announced the postponement of the event’s seventh edition following the death of gospel minister Toluwanisings.

The concert was initially scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Toluwanisings, whose real name was Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, was among the gospel artistes billed to perform at the annual gathering alongside Titilayo Euba, Minister Dieko, Bola Are, BBO, Lilian Nneji, Psalmos, Shola Sax and Tobi Akuraku.

Announcing the postponement in an Instagram statement titled “A Heartfelt Announcement: Invasion Praise Concert Season 7 Postponed,” Kay Wonder said the decision followed the painful loss of the gospel minister.

The convener explained that the tragedy had deeply affected the organisers and the wider gospel community, prompting them to postpone the event out of respect for the late singer.

The statement read, “Following the heartbreaking loss of one of the Gospel ministers, Toluwanisings, we have been deeply affected by this painful moment. In honour of his memory and in recognition of the grief currently felt across the Gospel community, we have prayerfully decided to postpone the concert.”

The organisers apologised to attendees and supporters for any inconvenience caused by the decision, adding that a new date would be announced soon.

Kay Wonder also urged members of the public to remember Toluwanisings’ family, loved ones and the entire gospel community in their prayers.

Toluwanisings reportedly died on Wednesday, October 14, after he slumped in Ibadan.

His death has prompted mourning within the gospel music community, with the concert postponement reflecting the impact of the loss on fellow ministers and organisers.
