Burna Boy, Shakira and Ghetto Kids Shine at FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show
NEW JERSEY – Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy, Colombian singer Shakira, and Uganda’s renowned dance troupe, the Ghetto Kids, delivered a memorable performance during the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium.
Shakira captivated the audience in a custom pink-and-yellow crystal-beaded bodysuit featuring an asymmetric waist cut-out and a fringed skirt. Performing barefoot with a bright pink microphone, she thrilled fans with energetic choreography and her performance of the official World Cup anthem, “Dai Dai.”
Burna Boy complemented the vibrant stage with a simple yet stylish outfit, wearing a white T-shirt, dark textured trousers, a black beanie, silver chains and a wristwatch. He joined Shakira on stage to perform his verse of the tournament’s official anthem.

The Ghetto Kids added excitement to the show with their trademark energetic dance routines. Dressed in coordinated yellow tie-dye outfits, fringed skirts and beaded accessories, the Ugandan dance group entertained fans with their lively choreography throughout the performance.
The halftime show concluded on a heartwarming note as Burna Boy and Shakira embraced members of the Ghetto Kids in a celebratory group hug on the pitch, marking the end of the historic performance.
