Bella Shmurda Alleges $4 Million Lagos Property Scam, Seeks Help
Nigerian singer Abiola Akinbiyi, popularly known as Bella Shmurda, has claimed he was defrauded after allegedly paying $4 million for a property in Lagos that he later discovered was not legally owned by the person who sold it to him.
The music star made the allegation during an emotional Instagram Live session on Tuesday, where he appealed to the public for support while expressing fears that he could lose the substantial investment.
Speaking during the livestream, Bella Shmurda said he was devastated after learning that the property he purchased was allegedly stolen and that the transaction may have been fraudulent.
“Nigeria, I need your help. I’m not doing okay right now. I spent $4 million of my own hard-earned money, only to find out I bought stolen property,” the singer said.
He further alleged that the individual who sold him the property disappeared after receiving the payment, leaving him unable to recover either the property or his money.

Bella Shmurda disclosed that he has already contacted his legal team to investigate the transaction and determine the next course of action.
“I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation,” he said.
