Anambra Governor’s Son Ozonna Laments How iPhones Become Obsolete Every Year

Ozonna Soludo, musician and son of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has sparked an online debate after expressing frustration with Apple’s annual iPhone release cycle.

His comments came following the rollout of the iPhone 18, with Ozonna questioning whether Apple needs to introduce a new flagship model every year.

According to him, the company could consider extending the interval between major iPhone upgrades to three years. He argued that a longer development cycle could allow Apple to introduce more significant technological improvements instead of releasing devices with mostly incremental changes.

Ozonna suggested that spacing out major upgrades could also offer consumers better value for their money, particularly as newer iPhone models sometimes deliver only modest improvements over their predecessors.

The musician had previously voiced dissatisfaction with his iPhone 15 Pro Max, particularly over its camera performance. He also hinted that he could consider switching to Samsung if Apple fails to address what he described as inconsistencies in its hardware.
