BBNaija 10: I was nominated because people saw me as threat – Sultana

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Sultana has opened up on the Week 5 nominations that held on Monday evening.

DAILY POST reports that Biggie reintroduced the traditional nomination style on Monday, where housemates were tasked with nominating two fellow housemates for possible eviction.

It replaced the format where all housemates are up for eviction, which had been in place since the start of the season.

During her diary session with Biggie on Tuesday afternoon, Sultana revealed that she was nominated because other housemates saw her as a threat in the game.

She suggested that she is a strategic player who would prioritize eliminating strong opponents over weaker ones.

She said, “I was nominated because people see me as competition. Because if I was given the power to take out people, I will not take out weak people, I will take out the strong people that will give me problem later.”

In a surprising twist, the nominations were nullified after Rooboy, the Head of House, after he drew a power from the Tree of Trinkets that read “Nullify Nominations”.

This means that no housemate will be evicted based on the nominations, and the game continues with all housemates safe for the week.

Entertainment ‘Life hits differently’ – Eniola Ajao breaks silence on alleged affair with Odunlade Adekola

Nigerian actress Eniola Ajao has finally spoken about her alleged romantic affair with a senior colleague, Odunlade Adekola.

The actress has been facing criticism after a video showed her hiding from the camera during the burial of Odunlade’s father, last week.

DAILY POST reports that over the years Ajao has been linked to the actor romantically.

However, speaking on Wednesday in a series of posts on her Instagram story, the actress stated that the allegations are aimed at tarnishing her personality.

While explaining that she “can’t fix every lie and rumour”, she noted that “life hits differently when you stop to prove you didn’t do that, or you are not like that”.

“You can’t fix every lie and rumour, nor can you defend yourself every time. Just be great. People may destroy your image, stain your personality, but they can’t take away your good deeds because no matter how they describe you, you will still be admired by

Phyna accuses Dangote Group of breaking promise to fund sister’s treatment abroad

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Ijeoma Joesphina Otabor, popularly know as Phyna, has accused Dangote Group of failing to fulfill a promise to fly her sister, Ruth, abroad for medical treatment.

DAILY POST reports that Ruth, Phyna’s younger sister, was involved in a tragic accident on August 13, 2025, near Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State, where she was hit by a Dangote truck allegedly driven by an underage, unlicensed driver.

The accident occurred six days after Ruth’s graduation, resulting in the amputation of her left leg, with her right leg also at risk.

In a series of emotional updates on Wednesday, Phyna explained that after finally visiting her sister in person, she realized Ruth’s situation was far worse than she had initially shared with the public.

She confirmed that she has been in ongoing talks with representatives of the Dangote Group.

According to her, the company agreed to her initial request for Ruth to be flown to India for advanced medical care.

However, Ruth was first transferred to Lagoon Hospital in Lagos, where Phyna was asked to provide a detailed medical report.

After promptly submitting the report, Phyna says the company’s officials backtracked, stating that they would instead seek further medical advice before making any decision.

The reality TV star stated that they later demanded another report from Lagoon Hospital confirming that Ruth’s case could not be managed there.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Phyna revealed that the Dangote official she had been in communication with has ignored her messages for over 24 hours, raising concerns over the company’s sincerity in its promises to help.

The former BBNaija winner specifically called on Aliko Dangote, the owner of the company, to personally intervene in saving her sister’s life.

“My sister’s life must not be put at risk. She needs urgent care and it’s beyond what local hospitals can handle. Dangote must keep to their words,” she said.

2027 presidential ticket open to all despite Tinubu endorsement, says APC

The ruling All Progressives Congress has clarified that, despite the widespread endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, other party members interested in the presidency will still be free to contest for the party’s ticket during the primaries.

APC’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Mohammad Argungu, disclosed this on Wednesday at an interactive session with journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

He reaffirmed that the party’s leadership, including the National Working Committee, the Progressives Governors Forum led by Senator Hope Uzodinma, and the National Assembly leadership under Senator Godswill Akpabio, had endorsed President Tinubu for re-election in recognition of his outstanding performance.

However, Argungu stressed that the APC, being a party committed to democratic principles, would not deny any aspirant the chance to challenge Tinubu for the ticket in a free and open primary election.

He stated, “We will definitely not close our doors (other Presidential aspirants). When the time comes, our timetable will be made known. Anybody who wants to aspire for the presidency under the APC will not be denied the opportunity to purchase the expression of interest and nomination forms to exercise their franchise.

“We never said we had locked the door. We are only telling people that we appreciate what the President is doing for the people of the country and that he deserves a second term in office when we roundly endorsed him recently.”

The Sokoto-born politician spoke in reaction to the question of whether the APC would emulate the Peoples Democratic Party, which printed just one form and reserved it specially for the then-President Goodluck Jonathan to vie as the sole Presidential aspirant in October 2014.

Snoop Dogg questions LGBTQ+ scene in Disney’s Lightyear

Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has sparked debate after revealing his discomfort with LGBTQ+ representation in the new Disney movie, Lightyear.

He shared his thoughts during an episode of the It’s Giving podcast, hosted by Sarah Fontenot on Thursday.

Snoop recounted taking his grandson to see the film, only to be caught off guard when a scene depicted two women raising a child together.

“Papa Snoop, how can she have a baby with another woman?” his grandson asked. “I didn’t come here for this; I just came to watch the movie,” Snoop admitted.

He added, “I’m worried about taking kids to the movies now, because they’re putting me in situations I don’t know how to explain.”

His comments reflect the confusion he experienced in that moment and his struggle to address complex topics with children.

The rapper’s remarks have reignited conversations about LGBTQ+ themes in children’s media, with some praising Disney for inclusivity, while others, like Snoop, question whether such content is suitable for younger audiences.
