Primate Ayodele Accuses Lauretta Onochie Of Using AI To Manipulate Prophecy, Threatens Legal Action
The Primate of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, has accused former presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie and other politicians of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to alter his prophecies to mislead the public and promote political interests.
This was revealed by Ayodele after a video purportedly shared by Onochie went viral on social media showing him as saying that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not return to power in 2027, and that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would have an advantage over other contenders.
His media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, in a statement signed on Monday, described the video as AI-generated and ‘a total falsehood,’ adding that the cleric never made such a statement during the public presentation of the 2026/2027 edition of his annual prophecy book, ‘Warnings To The Nations,’ which was held Saturday.
He cautioned politicians against using the new technologies to distort his messages, saying it was unethical, criminal and offensive to God.
Ayodele stated that the growing desperation among some political actors to win public sympathy has reached a frightening level, leading to the fabrication and manipulation of religious pronouncements to serve their political agenda.
The cleric explained that when he unveiled his prophecy book, he did not predict the outcome of the 2027 presidential election because he had not been given divine permission to reveal such information to the public.
I never said that anyone was a winner or a loser in the presentation of my prophecy book,” he said. “I told the journalists there that I have not been given clearance from God to make that revelation public.”
