Mayor Alfred Reveals Why He Is Expanding His Clothing Business

Nigerian fashion firm, Aristocrat Clothing, has announced plans to reset the country’s luxury fashion narrative with the opening of its flagship store in Lagos.

The firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Kayode Alfred, said the new outlet represented a deliberate shift from imported labels to world-class craftsmanship made in Nigeria. DownloadInteractive Maps

In a statement, Alfred said the grand opening of the store would be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Ogunusi, Ojodu, Lagos, adding that the new branch was designed to redefine the perception of Nigerian luxury.

According to him, the Ojodu flagship store was built to combine impeccable tailoring with sophistication and individuality for the modern Nigerian man and woman.

Alfred said Aristocrat Clothing was seeking to move the fashion industry away from mass-produced fashion towards bespoke luxury rooted in Nigerian identity and built to global standards.

He noted that the launch came at a time when demand for premium local fashion was increasing, with consumers increasingly patronising homegrown designers over foreign brands.

“Style has always been more than what one wears. It is an expression of identity, confidence and character. With this store, we are redefining what Nigerian luxury looks like,” Alfred said.

He described the outlet as more than a retail space, saying it would serve as the new home of the Aristocrat experience.

“This is more than retail. This is the new home of the Aristocrat experience. We are here to prove that Nigerian brands can lead in luxury,” he said.
