Kcee: Artists need to be in peoples faces, being mysterious no longer relevant in entertainment

Nigerian music star Kingsley Okonkwo, popularly known as Kcee, has predicted that the culture of maintaining a mysterious public image will become largely irrelevant in the entertainment industry within the next five years.

Kcee made the prediction during an interview with Selah Meditate, where he discussed changing trends in the music business and the growing need for artists to maintain a visible presence.

According to the singer, being less accessible and deliberately staying away from the public once helped entertainers create value and generate curiosity. However, he believes the strategy no longer carries the same influence in today’s rapidly changing industry.

Kcee said artists now need to remain visible and consistently engage with their audiences to stay relevant. He argued that the rise of artificial intelligence and other technological developments has changed the entertainment landscape, making constant visibility increasingly important.

The singer also disclosed that he had spoken with some American professors who agreed with his view that the mysterious approach would soon lose its appeal.

He noted that while absence helped create value around 2021 and 2022, the situation has changed significantly.

Kcee therefore advised artists to become more extroverted and maintain a stronger presence in front of their fans as the industry continues to evolve.
