According to the singer, he saw someone behaving erratically, encountered dead bodies and became alarmed by the presence of cult groups shortly after arriving in the city.

He also admitted that the appearance and demeanour of some Lagos residents contributed to his initial fear.

“I was so scared the first time I came to Lagos in 2016, in Surulere. People’s eyes were so red, and they looked scary,” he recalled.

Fireboy said the experiences occurred within his first two weeks in the city, making the environment appear overwhelming.

Despite his fears, however, the singer chose to remain in Lagos and gradually adapted to its fast-paced lifestyle.
