Ex-Miss West Africa Launches New Baby Brand, Dudi Baby
After years of building L’Avyanna Beauty around skincare designed for melanin-rich skin, founder Dr. May Amamgbo has expanded the brand into the baby-care market with the launch of Dudi Baby.
L’Avyanna Beauty Group officially unveiled Dudi Baby on August 28, 2026, introducing a new product line aimed at babies and caregivers. The launch coincided with a special family milestone as Dr. May’s daughter, Dudi, celebrated her first birthday on the same day.
The celebration attracted dignitaries, parents, business partners, customers and children, creating a blend of family celebration and brand expansion.

According to Dr. May, Dudi Baby represents more than a collection of baby-care products. The company is also developing Dudi World, a storytelling platform featuring original characters including Dudi, Chika, Kofi, Nia and Puffy Cloud.
The initiative will combine the baby-care brand with creative children’s content, with plans for animation, storytelling and other family-focused entertainment. Its playful, cloud-inspired visual identity is designed to appeal to mothers, caregivers and children.
Dr. May’s path to entrepreneurship has been diverse. A former Miss West Africa, she later earned a PhD in Law and worked in human rights, research and advocacy before founding L’Avyanna Beauty in 2015.
The beauty company has since developed a reputation for targeted skincare products, including facial and body care, vitamin C formulations and sunscreen options.
With Dudi Baby and Dudi World, Dr. May is now positioning L’Avyanna for a broader family and lifestyle market.
