Blessing CEO Accused Of Collecting N69.15m For Lekki Property Lease
An Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) prosecution witness has told a Lagos court that social media personality Blessing CEO allegedly collected N69.15 million over a five-year lease of a property in Lekki that she allegedly did not own.
The testimony was presented at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, where Blessing CEO, whose real name is Blessing Nkiruka, is facing charges of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.
In a statement shared on its social media account on Monday, October 12, the EFCC outlined proceedings before Justice R.A. Oshodi.
Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, identified as the first prosecution witness, said the disputed transaction involved a building at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, Lagos. He alleged that the defendant represented the property as hers and offered it for a five-year lease.
The EFCC arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, through its Lagos Zonal Directorate 1. The two-count charge concerns N69,150,000, and the influencer pleaded not guilty.
The prosecution alleged that she persuaded Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited to pay the money on or about March 21, 2025, through a representation that she owned the property and could lease it to the company.

During his testimony, Okeigwe recounted an incident in which a man identified as Mr Tom allegedly visited the property with police officers, leading to the arrest of some workers.
He said he contacted Blessing CEO to report what had happened. According to the witness, she denied knowing the man but continued to maintain that she owned the building.
Okeigwe also testified that he paid N100,000 to secure the workers’ release. He presented WhatsApp messages in which Blessing CEO allegedly sent photographs of the building as evidence of her claimed ownership.
The witness further alleged that agency, legal and caution fees were paid in connection with the lease. He also claimed the influencer received money from him and another person concerning the same property.
The charges fall under Section 1(2) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, with punishment provided under Section 1(3).
The court adjourned proceedings until October 26, 2026, for the continuation of the trial. The allegations remain subject to determination by the court.
