Adewale Alebiosu Reveals Why He Returned To Church After Rejoining Islam

Yoruba actor Adewale Michael Alebiosu has opened up about his religious journey, revealing why he eventually returned to Christianity after briefly going back to Islam.

Alebiosu shared the experience during an interview on Talk-To-B hosted by actress and media personality Biola Adebayo.

The actor explained that he was born into a Muslim family but later became a Christian following what he described as an encounter with Jesus. According to him, his decision to embrace Christianity eventually angered his mother, who asked him to return to the religion into which he was born.

Respecting his mother’s wishes, Alebiosu said he stopped attending church and returned to Islam. He began attending the Nasfat mosque at Jankara Agbado, Ijaye, where he was living at the time.

However, the actor said his return to Islam came with experiences he struggled to understand. He claimed that whenever he attended the mosque on Sundays, he would see what appeared to him to be angels entering and leaving the premises.

Alebiosu said the visions left him confused because he was unsure how people would react if he told them about what he was experiencing.

He also claimed that on some occasions, people would unexpectedly tell him that he had failed to carry out something he believed God had instructed him to do.

The actor said the combination of these experiences eventually influenced his decision to return to church.

Alebiosu stressed that his religious journey was deeply personal and shaped by experiences he found difficult to explain to others. He said he ultimately chose to return to Christianity despite having initially followed his mother’s request to reconnect with his Muslim background.
